Engineering since 2000.
I started with electronics and microcontrollers, using C and assembly. Later, I built desktop software, mobile apps and business tools.
Earlier projects
At NANKO, I rewrote access control and alarm software from assembly to C. Here are four more projects from that part of my career.
3D building design and cost estimates
I built an app that showed a building in 3D and calculated its cost. Changing the building settings updated the model and the estimate. Engineers could use it to show customers their future building.
Charts for nuclear power plant simulators
I developed screens and charts for a simulator system used at nuclear power plants. Engineers trained with the system. Engineers and scientists used the charts to view reactor parameters and analyse simulation results.
Technical books on a pocket computer
In the early 2000s, a partner and I built and sold a CHM reader for pocket computers (PDAs). It let people read technical books and software documentation offline, on a small device.
Security systems and business tools
Equipment. I connected security equipment with smart home systems. When devices failed to communicate in a large DSC installation, I investigated the problem and worked with the manufacturer through several rounds of fixes.
Business software. While running the company, I also wrote PHP and JavaScript. I changed SugarCRM modules, forms and fields to fit our sales process, client documents and reports. I connected it with website enquiries and email, and worked on accounting integrations.
